ANTIQUE – A residence was engulfed in flames in Barangay Igcabuad, Tobias Fornier, Antique.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Tobias Fornier, they received a call from the barangay captain around 1:43 PM on Wednesday, February 28, reporting a residential fire accompanied by a grass fire surrounding the mentioned house.
Fire Officer 1 Jesie Rey Zamora stated that, in their initial investigation, the blaze could have originated from either unattended cooking or faulty electrical.
Fortunately, there were no reported casualties or injuries in the incident.
This marks the third fire recorded in the municipality this year.
The BFP advises residents to remain vigilant and ensure that fire prevention measures are in place, as fires can spread rapidly due to high temperatures and strong winds./PN
