Fire razes paint store in Roxas City

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – An early morning fire gutted a paint store in Barangay XI, Roxas City Monday.

Initial investigation of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) showed that the edifice was partially damaged by the fire but the stock paints were damaged.

The estimated cost of damage is around P2 million.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo Roxas, the owner named Darwin Cadiz believed that there was a possible attempt to rob the store before it was torched down.

According to Cadiz, they discovered a hole in the ceiling which can serve as the entry point of the culprit/s.

The owner believes that because the culprit/s could not find any cash, they just decided to burn the store.

Cadiz said he will leave it to the authorities to investigate the incident./PN
