CAPIZ – Recent flooding and landslide in some barangays in Ivisan town displaced 51 families.
Mayor Felipe Yap said heavy downpour resulted to flooding in some barangays while a landslide was also reported in Sitio Agtinapay, Barangay Ilaya on June 10. One house was totally damaged. Three others were partially damaged.
Aside from those in Barangay Ilaya, some 30 families in Barangay Malocloc and 15 houses in Barangay Ondoy were displaced by flashfloods.
The local government unit of Ivisan through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) immediately conducted rescue and relief operations./PN
