MANILA — Choco Mucho Flying Titans overcame a sluggish start to overpower Galeries Tower Highrisers, 21-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-14, and tighten their grip on solo third place in the 2026-27 PVL All-Filipino Conference Siklab Series on Tuesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

After dropping the opening set, Choco Mucho rediscovered its offensive rhythm and dominated the next three frames, completing the comeback victory in one hour and 56 minutes.
Flying Titans head coach Dante Alinsunurin admitted that his squad initially struggled to execute its attacks before regaining the cohesion that fueled its victories in the first two matches.
“Well sa una talaga, talagang naging problema namin kung paano umatake sa first set, inaalala lang namin kung paano ibalik yung sistema namin nung first two games. Siguro nakita lang namin kung paano kami mag-perform as an individual,” Alinsunurin said.
Choco Mucho seized control in the second set, 25-17, before sustaining its momentum in the third, 25-19, to move within a set of securing its third victory of the conference.
The Flying Titans delivered the decisive blow in the fourth frame, with Sisi Rondina-Rosales and Lorene Toring igniting a 9-1 scoring blitz after their team trailed by a point at the first technical timeout.
The surge propelled Choco Mucho to a commanding 16-9 advantage, effectively crushing Galeries Tower’s hopes of forcing a deciding fifth set.
Caitlin Viray helped complete the rout as the Flying Titans closed out the fourth set, 25-14.
Rondina-Rosales and Viray provided offensive support with 11 points each, while Toring contributed 10 markers, including four blocks.
Setter Alina Bicar orchestrated Choco Mucho’s offense with 17 excellent sets, while libero Dawn Catindig anchored the floor defense with 20 excellent digs on 36 attempts and 11 excellent receptions.
For Galeries Tower, Ilongga veteran Aiza Maizo-Pontillas led the scoring with 11 points, while Jean Asis added 10.
Negrense Erika Deloria chipped in nine markers, and Shola Alvarez finished with eight as the Highrisers remained winless at 0-4 despite showing early promise against the Flying Titans.
