ILOILO City – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 6 released yesterday food packs to survivors of tropical storm “Marce” in this city.
A hundred food packs were distributed, bringing to a total of 1,712 the augmentation in the form of food packs released by the agency to various local government units in Iloilo.
A total of 1,162 food packs were sent to Capiz; 500 to Passi City, Iloilo; and the remaining to Iloilo City.
Regional Director Rebecca Geamala said the agency has enough food packs to distribute should the need arises.
DSWD has a 36,000 family food packs on its stockpile.
