MANILA — Farm Fresh Foxies stamped their arrival as a legitimate title contender after a commanding straight-sets win over Nxled Chameleons, 25-17, 25-20, 25-19, to clinch their first-ever semifinal berth in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference quarterfinals Tuesday at the Playtime Filoil Centre.
Showing poise beyond their years, the Foxies overwhelmed Nxled from start to finish, completing a breakthrough run to the Final Four just three years after joining the league in 2023.
Bouncing back from a setback in the qualifying phase against PLDT High Speed Hitters, Farm Fresh regrouped and delivered a dominant performance in the play-in round to advance.
Trisha Tubu led the charge with 12 points, Frances Molina added 10 markers, while Victonara Galang turned in her best game with the Foxies with nine markers.
The milestone underscores the franchise’s rapid rise and puts them within striking distance of a finals appearance for the first time.
Nxled, meanwhile, bowed out early despite offseason reinforcements that included key players from reigning champion Petro Gazz Angels. Brooke Van Sickle paced the Chameleons with 13 points.
In another quarterfinal result, Creamline Cool Smashers secured the final semifinal slot after dispatching Akari Power Chargers, 25-23, 25-20, 16-25, 25-16.
Recovering from a failed outright semifinals bid against Cignal Super Spikers, Creamline leaned on its championship experience to close out Akari, regaining control after dropping the third set.
Alyssa Valdez delivered a vintage all-around performance with 20 points, 19 excellent digs, and eight excellent receptions as the Cool Smashers advanced to the single-round robin semifinals beginning Saturday.
Bernadette Pons contributed 13 points, while Jeanette Panaga and Diana Carlos chipped in 12 and 10, respectively. Kyle Negrito orchestrated the offense efficiently, backed by Jia De Guzman and Jema Galanza.
