SAN JOSE, Antique – Around a thousand residents of a hinterland barangay in San Remigio town benefitted from a medical-dental mission.
Provincial Health Officer Ric Noel Naciongayo along with 10 doctors, eight dentists, 20 nurses, and several volunteers provided checkup and tooth extraction on Wednesday at Osorio I Elementary School in Barangay Osorio I.
The patients were also fed. One hundred people had their hair cut, while 200 residents of barangays Osorio I and II were given gifts.
Medical equipment, supplies and food were also donated to the San Remigio rural health center.
The medical mission was a partnership between the provincial government, the San Remigio municipal government, Philippine Army’s 82nd Infantry Battalion and its Bravo Company, and the Antique Police Provincial Office, among other agencies. (PNA)
