Fuel prices to go up anew this week

MANILA – Another round of increases in the pump prices of petroleum products will greet motorists in the coming week, independent player Unioil Petroleum Philippines said Saturday.

In its weekly fuel price forecast for July 16 to 22, Unioil said the price per liter of diesel is expected to go up by P0.65 to P0.75, while gasoline price will jump by P1.00 to P1.10 per liter.

Local oil companies usually implement fuel price adjustments every Tuesday of the week.

Latest data from the Department of Energy showed prices of gasoline range from P46.10 to P56.49 per liter, while diesel range from P38.84 to P43.60 per liter.

Year-to-date adjustments stand at a net increase of P5.15 per liter for gasoline, P3.30 per liter for diesel and P1.75 per liter for kerosene, according to the DOE. (GMA News)
