BACOLOD City – A one-way traffic scheme will be observed on Gatuslao Street starting tomorrow, according to the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO).

Superintendent Luisito Acebuche, BTAO head, the new traffic scheme was mulled upon the request of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in relation to the ongoing drainage construction along the road.

Vehicles going north will have to take a left turn to Galo Street and another left turn to Lacson, explained Acebuche.

Those going south shall take a left turn to Rizal Street, he added.

The drainage construction will be done in the morning for workers to be able to see the cable wires of telecommunication companies in the area, said DPWH.

DPWH excavation now covers the areas along the provincial capitol to a mall on Gatuslao Street.

Earlier, City District Engineer Abraham Villareal said they will fast-track their constructions in preparation for the MassKara Festival next month./PN
