Gazini Ganados reacts to naysayers of her Binibining Pilipinas performance

NEWLY-CROWNED Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados shared on the “Tonight with Boy Abunda” how much she has hoped and prayed to win the crown and title.

“It’s very overwhelming sometimes napapatulala na lang ako and asked myself, ‘Totoo ba?’ I hoped for it, I wished for it,” she said.

Gazini also admitted that her toughest competition all throughout her Binibining Pilipinas stint was herself because “there will be days where you will be doubting yourself if you’re worth it.”

She also encouraged other beauty queens to refrain from looking at social media because “it will affect you, holistically.”

When Gazini won the crown, some were not convinced with her performance, particularly in the Question and Answer portion of the pageant.

“I appreciate the criticism because I know that there’s still so much to learn so many to improve in myself and the first step is accepting it and then innovating it. Ang ayaw ko is when bashers go under belt, beyond na sa sarili namin ang kini-criticize sa amin not only me but other Binibinis as well,” she told host Boy Abunda.

Gazini hopes that “someday we could all unite and be diverse at the same time because we are all unique in our own ways.” (Push)
