‘God is more powerful’: Niña Jose, mayor-husband ‘doing great’ after COVID-19 diagnosis

FORMER actress Niña Jose and husband, Bayambang, Pangasinan Mayor Cezar Quiambao, are “doing great” after they were both confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Quiambao, 65, initially announced the diagnosis early Wednesday, noting that doctors “believe that we have now recovered.” Even then, the two are undergoing a second, 14-day quarantine to minimize any risk of infecting others.

Jose, 31, quoted the statement from her husband’s office on her own Facebook page, adding, “Yes, we are positive for coronavirus but because God is more powerful than this, we are doing fine and we are doing great.”

“God is good all the time. Mama Mary loves us,” she wrote.

Neither mentioned if they have since been confirmed free of COVID-19 based on a re-test.

“We are asking for your prayers, not only for us, but for the whole world as we all try to overcome this pandemic,” Quiambao said in his earlier statement.

Jose, who rose to popularity in 2006 via the first teen edition of “Pinoy Big Brother,” married Quiambao in November 2017.(ABS-CBN)
