GPPO launches “KASIMBAYANAN” for a safe 2022 elections

GUIMARAS – Guimaras Police Provincial Office (GPPO) launched the   KASIMBAYANAN – “Kapulungan ng inyong Pulis, ng inyong Sundalo, ng inyong Bantay Dagat, ng Comelec at lahat ng Lingkod Bayan kasama ang Simbahan at Pamayanan”  at 23rd CPNP Multi – Purpose Hall, Camp Mosqueda in Barangay Alaguisoc, Jordan town, Guimaras  last Tuesday, Feb. 22.

Police Colonel Richard Baluis, the provincial director of GPPO lead the launch of KASIMBAYANAN that aims at the Security, Accurate, Free and Fair Elections (SAFE) 2022.

The activity started with a unity walk from the GPPO administration building to the 23rd CPNP Multi-Purpose Hall and was participated in by the different government agencies such as the Commission on Elections – Guimaras, Philippine Coast Guard – Guimaras, Philippine Army 606th CDC ARESCOM, and religious leaders.

This endeavor aims to preserve and protect the integrity of the upcoming May 9, 2022, national and local elections.

It is a campaign that is instrumental in the collaborative pursuit of a reformed electoral process free from violence and corruption.

During the program, Police Lieutenant Colonel Orly Gabinete, Deputy Provincial Director for Administration- GPPO  warmly welcomed all the participants.

It was followed by the messages of the religious leaders. Highlighted with various symbolic activities such as the lighting of candles which represents the holy illumination of christ, symbolic of unity and brings peace and holiness, pinning of the SAFE PIN, and the manifesto signing.

The activity was concluded with benedictions by the religious leaders and the subsequent releasing of white doves that symbolizes new beginnings, peace, love, hope, luck, and prosperity./PN
