Grenade found in CENECO president’s Murcia home

BACOLOD City – The Murcia Municipal Police Station is still investigating the incident of a grenade being thrown into the front yard of a Central Negros Electric Cooperative (CENECO) executive on Monday in Barangay Blumentritt, Murcia, Negros Occidental.

An unexploded grenade was found in the parking lot of Central Negros Electric Cooperative president Dwight Carbon on Monday by his household helper, Arsenia Abong.

Abong immediately contacted the Murcia police to inform them of the potentially explosive device.

Murcia municipal police head Chief Inspector Roberto Indiape, Jr. said initial talks with Carbon, reveal that the CENECO official had not received threats prior to the incident.

Indiape said his police station is closely investigating the incident to identify the culprits./PN
