Two drug suspects yield P40T ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – An estimated P40,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from two drug suspects, including one woman, around 1:30 p.m. Monday at Purok Patuloy, Zone 4, Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental.

Superintendent Noel Polines, Silay City police head, identified the suspects as Maricris Villacampa Luberisco, 48, a “high-value target” and resident of the town; and Ruperto Togle Lusabia, 57, included in the “target list” of the Silay City police.

Confiscated from the two were eight heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item bought in exchange for P3,000 in marked money. Also seized were various drug paraphernalia and P234 in cash proceeds.

The suspects have been detained at the Silay City lockup facility, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
