But that’s where MORE Electric and Power Corporation, or MORE Power, stands out. As “I Am Iloilo City’s” sole power distribution utility, it places CSR on the same level as excellent customer service and the delivery of steady, reliable, and affordable electricity to the Ilonggos.

Harvest Festival: Empowering Local Farmers
Recently, MORE Power partnered with Iloilo City farmers to celebrate the Harvest Festival—a milestone in community-driven agriculture held in Barangay Bito-on, Jaro. The event was a collaboration between the Iloilo Citywide Farmers’ Association, the City Agriculturist’s Office, private sector partners, and MORE Power.
As part of the initiative, local farmers received free seedlings, fertilizers, and essential farming tools, along with training on proper harvesting techniques. This support, made possible through cooperation with the City Agriculturist’s Office and the Uswag Nursery, culminated in the harvest of 214 kilograms of high-value vegetables—including eggplant, bitter gourd, lettuce, cabbage, bottle gourd, and string beans—after months of diligent cultivation.
This project not only boosts production and income for local farmers but also strengthens the community’s overall food security.
According to Iloilo City Agriculturist Iñigo Garingalao, “MORE Power’s support and genuine commitment to the progress of Iloilo City and its farmers go beyond words and are reflected in their actions. As Head of the City Agriculturist Office, I commend MORE Power and look forward to this partnership prospering for the benefit of the city and future generations.”

Coastal Clean-Up: Strengthening Environmental Stewardship
Continuing its advocacy, MORE Power reinforced its dedication to environmental stewardship by actively joining the International Coastal Clean-Up (ICC) Iloilo 2025. The event brought together volunteers from government agencies, civic groups, schools, private organizations, and local communities to clean and preserve Iloilo City’s vital coastal stretch from Baluarte to Villa Arevalo.
As the city’s sole power distributor, MORE Power recognizes that caring for the environment is fundamental to the health and resilience of the communities it serves. The company’s Eco-Warriors teamed up with diverse stakeholders in this globally recognized cleanup effort to combat marine pollution and safeguard Iloilo’s rich coastal biodiversity.
MORE Power’s involvement reflects its consistent advocacy for environmental protection—through tree planting, energy efficiency campaigns, watershed conservation, and biodiversity preservation—all aimed at building a sustainable future for every Ilonggo.
Now on its fourth year, the 2025 International Coastal Cleanup recorded a notable decrease in the volume of trash collected compared to the previous year—a positive sign attributed to the growing frequency of cleanups and ongoing community engagement.
“This year we saw fewer tons of trash, and that’s a good thing. It means the regular interventions are working, and communities are becoming more responsible about waste,” said Ian Varona of 8 Villa Beach House, lead organizer of ICC Iloilo.
The success of ICC 2025 is a testament to what Iloilo can achieve when the public and private sectors, civic groups, and communities work hand in hand.
