ILOILO City – A resident of Barangay San Pedro, Molo district complained to the police about a man she accused of destroying the back wall of her variety store.
Sari-sari store owner Juliet Baterbonia, 36, told the police Mark Pee Jee Devera was just leasing the store.
But Devera took down the bamboo back wall of the store at around 2 p.m. on June 1 without her consent, Baterbonia claimed.
Investigators were still trying to determine the cost of the damage on the store as of this writing.
Prior to the incident, Baterbonia and Devera already had a misunderstanding.
According to Baterbonia, she and Devera had an altercation after she made renovations in the store.
Their verbal agreement with regard to the lease of the store ended at the time, she told the police.
