IN EVERY beat, every lyric, every hum, and every harmony, they do more than perform – they tell stories.
Within the corridors of the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU) in Molo, Iloilo City, angelic voices often fill the air. These young, passionate singers and musicians of the Kinaadman Chorale use music to navigate emotions more deeply than words alone ever could.
As the esteemed resident mixed-voice choir of JBLFMU, Kinaadman Chorale has expanded its reach from the local halls of Iloilo to the regional and national stages. Since its inception in 2010, the group has served as the artistic heartbeat of the institution, standing as a beacon of cultural pride and a passionate representative of the Ilonggo community.
Under the guidance and direction of Roque Magsipoc, the choir strives for versatility in music. Magsipoc pushes the ensemble to explore diverse styles, skillfully balancing the technical demands of contemporary arrangements with the soulful roots of traditional music.

Their repertoire is a vibrant tapestry. It showcases the captivating allure of Ilonggo folk songs while embracing Filipino ethnic music, Original Pilipino Music (OPM), lively novelty tunes, and sacred choral compositions. Their top-tier performances do more than entertain; they safeguard Filipino heritage. By embodying a distinct musical identity, they ensure that local cultural values remain resonant for younger generations despite the ever-changing musical landscape and Western influence.
Kinaadman Chorale doesn’t just perform; they tell stories through music, connecting deeply with audiences from all walks of life. Their commitment to musical excellence is evident in their numerous accolades, each award symbolizing not just a victory but growth, and community spirit.
