ROXAS City, Capiz – Hercor College Junior Jaguars refused to yield defeat in three games of the Chooks-to-Go SM National Basketball Training Center (NBTC)-Capiz leg recently in the Capiz Gymnasium.
Hailed as champions of last year’s edition, the Junior Jaguars baffled College of Saint John Roxas with a 137-39 exhibition.
Meanwhile, Filamer Christian University (FCU) scored back-to-back victories against Capiz State University, 65-39, and College of Saint John Roxas, 95-68, to improve to a 3-1 win-loss record.
Saint Mary’s Academy of Capiz also possesses an identical card with FCU after a 185-51 annihilation of Capiz State University, as well as a lopsided victory against Don Ynocencio A. Del Rosario National High School, 146-38.
Don Ynocencio A. Del Rosario National High School and College of Saint John Roxas both have a 1-3 slate, while Capiz State University is in last place with 0-4.
Capiz leg commissioner Michael John Abad said that the leg matches will be played every Saturday and Sunday, while the championship round is slated at first week of February./PN
