THE UNITED States of America is intending to live stream a firing squad execution. This is a cruel and outdated approach and should be condemned. The execution of anyone should be quick, painless and not a public event.
The USA does seem to be willing to do things most think are no longer appropriate, so how long will it be before they bring back a stadium with a person to be executed facing a hungry lion? History shows it used to be popular.
It’s just another step into the swamp that President Trump was going to drain. If he ever does drain that ‘swamp’ there may be a lot of other bodies found there.

Camp David or Camp Donald?
US President Donald Trump is looking at adding a presidential residence to one of his golf courses. Who will pay for this, and will it be available for future Democrat Presidents?
President Trump said, “It seems that all presidents play golf’ but most don’t cheat.”
There is some doubt on at least one leader’s golf skills and honesty as suggested by the first round that Kim Jong-il ever played where he shot a 38-under par 34. Not all leaders are honest on the golf course.
Apparently, most of the necessary security features are already, there but why? Is it secure so that no one can see his approach to golf, including dropped balls?
Some of the bunkers will be sand bunkers, others will be military bunkers.
There are too many questions about ownership, access, purpose, security and even, why it is necessary?
It is certain to be named Camp Donald.

Good and bad?
In the old days of my youth, it was easy to tell who was good or bad especially with the westerns, the good guys wore white hats, the bad guys wore black hats. It’s no longer so easy, nor so precise.
Quite recently OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has said “We believe that the world should accept some bad things happening for the benefits of this technology and people having the agency”. This scares me and should scare most people.
At a simple level if Medical research, when done ethically, leads to 1000 people being better but one person is much worse or dies then the medicine does not get released. It must make everybody better off, not nearly everyone.
We don’t really need to worry about Arnie and the Terminators, but rather the data collection and the lack of privacy, the apparent lack of copyright acceptance.
No one wants ‘some bad things’ that might lead to better things.

Reality is better than ‘reality’
The “Traitors” reality TV shows, so popular in so many countries, have a group of people who backstab each other and do everything they can to eliminate everyone else. It shows the worst that people can be but with annoying ads.
If you want to see the same behavior and without the ads all you need to do is watch and listen to your political representatives and see how they behave in their parliaments./PN
