SIBALOM, Antique – Police recovered guns and ammunition during a raid of a house in Barangay Bongbongan II here on Wednesday morning, Dec. 16.
The owner of the house was 57-year-old Rolly Gersava, police said.
Cops were armed with Search Warrant No. 06-2020-EJ issued by Presiding Judge Ernesto Abijay Jr. of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 10 in San Jose, Antique on Dec. 14.
The recovered items from the house were the following:
* one 12-gauge shotgun (homemade, long barrel)
* one homemade peacemaker revolver type chambered in 5.56 loaded with five live ammunition
* 71 ammunition for 5.56 caliber
* four ammunition for 12-gauge shotgun
* two ammunition for a .38 revolver
* one ammunition for .38 (hollow point)
* one ammunition for .22 (magnum)
* six ammunition for .22
* 10 empty shells for 5.56 caliber
The firearms and ammunition were forwarded to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) while Gersava was taken to the Sibalom police station.
He faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
