SO YOU probably hate President Rodrigo Duterte and that’s perfectly well within your rights and you’re free to express it in any shape or form as long as it is within the bounds of law.
Rest assured President Rodrigo Duterte will make sure you can express your hatred for him, just don’t break any laws while doing so.
And while you’re at it, take comfort that there is no law that prevents anyone from expressing what they feel for a person, President of the Republic or otherwise, be it hatred on undying love.
What you feel for any person is between you and that person as long as you do not intrude into that private person’s space or inconvenience other people while expressing what you feel for that person i.e. Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima shagging her driver Ronnie Dayan; she may have permission from Ronnie but she intruded into the space of Ronnie’s wife.
Take for example Presidential Assistant / Consultant for Western Visayas slash “Balloon Artist” Jane Javellana. Now, Edgardo Lopez Suelo may not like the balloons she has blown up; he can express his disdain for Jane’s “balloons” as long as he does not do anything illegal i.e. getting a sharp object and puncturing Jane’s “balloons.”
Nowadays it seems fashionable for the “shabu white clad” members of Tindig Pilipinas, formerly known as the “devotees to the cult of the yellow ribbon”, to hate or put down anything remotely connected to President Rodrigo Duterte i.e. the war on illegal drugs and the Marawi conflict.
If these “shabu white clad” members of Tindig Pilipinas say they want the war on illegal drugs to fail and that the Armed Forces lose in the Marawi conflict because they hate President Rodrigo Duterte and everything he stands for, it may be sick and twisted but well within their right of self-expression.
It becomes something else if they say that it is for love of country that they want President Rodrigo Duterte to fail. It is sheer hypocrisy. In case you haven’t noticed, that is exactly what these people are doing.
In case you get lost in translation: a hypocrite is a person who indulges in hypocrisy and; hypocrisy – the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behaviour does not conform.
So we’re clear on that. Let’s get on with more juicy titbits; reading the meaning of hypocrisy, immediately what comes to mind are some quite prominent hypocrites: Rissa Hontiveros, Leni Robredo, Antonio Trillanes IV, Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima, Franklin Drilon, Kiko Pangilinan, and Chito Gascon.
Moi did not include former President Noynoy Aquino in that list as he is just a plain nincompoop.
The rest need not be mentioned as these people are not really hypocrites, just your regular opportunist who made a lot of profit during the watch of former President Noynoy Aquino and would have continued doing so if Mar “Daang Matuwid” Roxas won as president.
Now they’re hoping that with the fall of President Rodrigo Duterte and Leni Robredo becomes president, they can continue making profit.
President Rodrigo Duterte just defeated ISIS in Asia and eliminated the top two ISIS terrorist leaders Isnilon Hapilon and Omar Maute, including ISIS financier Malaysian Dr. Mahmud Ahmad and liberated Marawi City after a five-month siege by ISIS-affiliated Maute Group as the whole country rejoices over this victory, yet not a sound from the usual suspects.
One can only conclude that these “shabu white clad” members of Tindig Pilipinas have been wishing that President Duterte and the Armed Forces fighting to save the republic in the Marawi conflict will fail as they believe it will bring closer his downfall.
Unfortunately for them and fortunately for us, it was not the case. The victory in Marawi showed to the world we have a real Commander-in-Chief who led the army into victory unlike that nincompoop Noynoy Aquino who ordered 44 Special Action Force troopers into their deaths.
Sure, you hate Duterte and wish for his downfall and you really felt bad that he emerged victorious and did not fail in Marawi. Well, moi has news for you that will really bring you down: when you wake up tomorrow morning Duterte is still the President and you have five more years of misery. So there.
