Iconic L’Fisher still Bacolod’s most beloved hotel at 28

THE NEGRENSE are known to be a proud and finicky bunch, very difficult to please due to their distinct taste and penchant for flair. But a beloved homegrown hotel brand has managed to capture the Bacoleños’ fancy for 28 illustrious years now – even being dubbed as “Bacolod’s crown jewel” by a local veteran columnist.

Today, Sept. 29, L’Fisher Hotel-Bacolod celebrates 28 years in its ongoing “quest for excellence.” With its nearly three-decade run, the premier hotel has grown synonymous with leisure, comfort, and luxury in the “City of Smiles,” priding itself as the best first-class accommodation in the locale.

“It’s another milestone for us, celebrating our 28th anniversary,” L’Fisher’s resident manager Victor James Alcantara told Panay News. “Very few hotels get to boast that they have 28 years of experience under their belt. It shows just how loved the L’Fisher brand is.”

“What really has made this hotel flourish is our relationship with our clients,” he continued. “These relationships and the rapport we have built with the people of Bacolod took years to build, but now we are one of the most trusted brands in the region.”

 

“55 percent of our guests are repeat clients, which means they love our services and products – making them want to come back for more. Hopefully, we can continue to do that, even while we are faced with more competitors,” concluded the hotelier.

First opened in Sept. 29 1990, L’Fisher Hotel proved instrumental in shaping what is now touted as the “tourism strip” of Bacolod City. L’Fisher Hotel has recently launched efforts to uplift its facilities to a whole new calibre – renovating more than 30 of its rooms to better cater to the needs and comforts of their guests.

Each of the renovated Super Deluxe rooms have their own modern coffee and espresso machine, so guests can enjoy cups of freshly brewed café au lait and more – right at the comfort of their hotel room. The revamped rooms are also equipped with a 49 inch high definition television, a coffee table, and a sleek marble-clad bathroom with an enclosed shower – complemented by a luxurious rainfall showerhead.

For its anniversary month, L’Fisher Hotel-Bacolod lined up a series of festive activities including the Splendid Creations Fashion Show on Sept. 21, featuring the creations of the Association of Negros Designers with Iloilo guest designer Jun-G Candelario, and the EVENTS-ually: Wedding and Events Fair.

L’Fisher’s marketing manager Chuchie Barlis shares that the hotel remains the unbeaten “authority” when it comes to hosting events. Boasting of the Grand La Proa Ballroom – which can host up to 1,500 guests – attractive value-for-your-money banquet packages, and a lineup of sophisticated function rooms suited for any occasion, L’Fisher remains the preferred top-tier events venue in Bacolod City.
