ILOILO City – Police caught five persons for illegal cockfighting in Barangay Guinobatan, Leganes, Iloilo.
They were Rene Jabao, 57; Ricky Alparito, 29; Adian Gallo, 22; Alvin Loraña, 24, of Barangay Guihaman, Leganes, Iloilo; and Joseph Bermejo, 40, of Barangay Balibagan, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
The Dumangas police staged their apprehension around 1:30 p.m. on June 14.
Recovered from the suspects were bet money which amounted to P1,020 and two game fowls.
The five were detained in the lockup cell of the Leganes police station, facing charges./PN
