ILOILO City – Three persons were caught gambling in Barangay Bongco, Pototan, Iloilo.
They were residents Elizalde Braga, 71; Alfonso Cordova, 66; and Ana Dela Cruz, 52, a police report showed.
The police chanced upon them playing tong-its around 5 p.m. on April 13.
Recovered from their possession were P778 bet money and a deck of playing cards.
The suspects were detained in the custodial facility of the Pototan municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 that outlaws illegal gambling./PN
