Iloilo Province’s No. 3 fugitive falls

ILOILO — This province’s third most wanted man was arrested by officers of the Anilao Municipal Police Station (MPS) at around 9:43 a.m. on Thursday, November 20.

The 39-year-old farmer identified as alias “Mark,” was collared in Barangay San Carlos, Anilao by the Anilao MPS Tracker Team led by Police Captain Kate B. Apaitan, officer-in-charge.

The suspect has outstanding charges for qualified rape under Article 266-A in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act (RA) No. 8353 and further modified by RA 11648.

His warrant of arrest was issued on November 17, 2025 by the presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 66 in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo. He was detained at the Anilao MPS and no bail was recommended for his temporary freedom.

Police Colonel Bayani M. Razalan, director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), praised the efforts of the Anilao MPS Tracker Team, stating, “Congratulations to the Anilao MPS for your successful operation in capturing rank 3 on the Iloilo Province Most Wanted list. Your hard work and dedication to maintain peace and order in our community are commendable. We will continue our robust campaign against wanted persons, ensuring that they are brought to justice for the crimes they have committed.”

This said operation was part of the IPPO’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen law enforcement and enhance public safety./PN
