Iloilo taekwondo jins rule Visayas Cluster tilt in Bacolod

TAEKWONDO jins from Iloilo City dominated the 2018 Visayas Cluster Taekwondo Championships with overall titles on Saturday at SM City Bacolod in Bacolod City.

Fighters from A. Diasnes Taekwondo Gym bagged 24 gold, 22 silver and 18 bronze medals for the overall championship in grade school and cadet categories, while those from the Mark Victoriano Pinggol stable had 13 gold, seven silver and four bronze medals.

From A. Diasnes, Mariel Angela Siscar was hailed Best Player in grade school with golds in kyorugi and individual poomsae, while Jesseray Lucas Frantilla was Best Player in cadet with golds in kyorugi, individual and team poomsae.

Johnniel Andre Cabaraca Paolo Vito Gonzalez, Lansil Andrew Brotarlo, Margareth Anne Aguana, Airon Melvin Aguana, Crizzel Jhannin Ahmed, Markishi Anthonette Ting, and Franchesca May Paredes also won golds in individual poomsae.

In the team events were Kyle Chin, Seth Ryan Templanza, Airon Melvin Aguana, Bill Donton III, Xandrew Nicholai Refugio, Aryan Nicole Nonis, Jasmine Kaye Badoles, Crizzel Jhannin Ahmed, Heleana Dulzen Grace Donton, Graxer Mae Maglupay, Markishi Anthonette Ting, Artha Camille Tanagon, and Franchesca May Paredes.

Capturing silver were Angelie Marie Perillo, Kyle Chin, Exiovince Earlle Albor, Aryan Nicole Nonis, Seth Ryan Templanza, Jan Andrew Gancero, Lansil Andrew Brotarlo, Jasmine Kaye Badoles, and Artha Camille Tanagon.

Taking home poomsae bronze were Paolo Vito Gonzalez, Exiovince Earlle Albor, Margareth Anne Aguana, Janus Miguel Tacsagon, Heleana Dulzen, Grace Donton, and Graxer Mae Maglupay.

In kyorugi, bagging gold medals were Nielin Ja Samson, Joanne Ja Samson, Neil Jason Guevara, Kyle Chin, Kylza Chin, Kristie Marie Siscar, Bill Donton III, Xandrew Nicholai Refugio, Heleana Dulzen Grace Donton, and Markishi Anthonette Ting.

Settling for silver were Laureanze Izaiah Firmeza, Johnniel Andre Cabaraca, Paolo Vito Gonzalez, Cloud Vincent Aquino, Rufino Antonio Barrato, Exiovince Earlle Albor, Aryan Nicole Nonis, Zeth Izaiah Rico, Art Christian Tanagon, Crizzel Jhannin Ahmed, Janus Miguel Tacsagon, Artha Camille Tanagon, and Elisha Venice Aguilar.

Capturing bronze medals were Mikee Cortez, Jan Andrew Gancero, Lansil Andrew Brotarlo, Markey Jaims Arboleda, Ehyan Rhodwell Talabucon, Carl Tanagon, Graxer Mae Maglupay, Benjamin Evidente, and Franchesca May Paredes.

From Pinggol’s stable, winning gold medals in individual poomsae were Cyd Edryc Esmaña, Geon Ivan Dulaca, Jannah Ysabel Velez, and Jilyn Yap, while taking silvers were Roivic John Decafe and Joshua Cachero, and Roices Dane Decafe had bronze.

Esmaña and Roycel Decafe had gold in mixed pair poomsae, while Roices Dane and Roivic John Decafe and Cachero captured silver in team poomsae.

In kyorugi, taking home golds were Angela Joy Marie Bermejo, Sheine Nicole De Asis, Nicole Latade, Akimeh Demavivas, Neljane Belgira, Christian Pudadera, Jannah Ysabel Velez, and Louwee Jaye Kyle Sualog.

Settling for silver medals were Enzo Lucio Cape, Marielle Lagamo, Giovanni Sualog and Crisgel Castro, while capturing bronze medals were Anica Feranco, Dariel Talamor and Jose Lubis III./PN
