VICE Ganda surprised his partner Ion Perez after the latter recently sprained his ankle during a badminton game.
The comedy superstar documented the surprise in a vlog he released on Tuesday.
“Si Ion na-sprain kahapon tapos na-twist niya ‘yung ankle niya. Hindi siya makalakad,” said Vice. “Naawa ako kasi si Ion, siyempre ang buhay lang naman niya, magbisikleta o kaya doon sa gym niya, workout workout siya.”
Vice bought a PlayStation 5 (PS5) for Ion so he could keep himself entertained while recovering from his ankle sprain at home.
According to the It’s Showtime host, it wasn’t easy to buy the PS5 because of the enhanced community quarantine and Holy Week, but he still managed to get one for Ion as he really wanted to make him happy.
“Siyempre kapag mahal mo ‘yung tao hindi ka naman papayag na makita mong malungkot siya. Kasi hindi naman magsasabi ‘yan, eh. Malungkot ‘yan, mararamdaman ko, makikita ko, pero hindi niya sasabihin, hindi niya aaminin… Ayaw ko nang ganun, ‘pag malungkot siya, malungkot din ako,” he said.(Push)
