Wanted man falls in Calatrava

BACOLOD City – After 10 years of searching, police finally arrested a man wanted in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

The 44-year-old Arnel Sandoval was nabbed in Sitio Caridad in Barangay Patun-an, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.

Sandoval was charged with frustrated homicide, said Police Major Roberto Indiape Jr., acting chief of the Calatrava municipal police station.

The suspect was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 8:30 p.m. on April 11.  

Judge Pablo Mendoza of the Regional Trial Court Branch 48 in Tagbilaran City ordered Sandoval’s arrest dated Aug. 11, 2011.

The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Calatrava police station prior to his transfer to Tagbilaran City.

A P24,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
