BACOLOD City – How prepared is it for the coming elections? Ninety-five percent, Commission on Election (Comelec) in this city said.
Comelec continues to get ready for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabatan (SK) elections on Oct. 23.
City Election Officer Mavil Majarucon-Sia said the postponement is not official since no law has yet been passed.
Comelec already coordinated with the Department of Education for teachers who will serve during the polls.
List counterchecking of regular and SK voters were also done.
Based on Comelec’s schedule, the filing certificates of candidacy will be from Sept. 23 to 30 while the campaign period, Oct. 13 to 21.
Ballots were also scheduled to be delivered to the city one week before the election./PN
