ROXAS City – A man was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Ondoy, Ivisan, Capiz.
He was the 32-year-old resident Rex Durana, a police report showed.
Durana was caught after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to undercover Police Officer 2 Christian Lastimoso for P500 around 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, the report added.
Recovered from Durana’s possession were eight more sachets of suspected shabu and two cellphones.
Ivisan police head Chief Inspector Ricardo Jomuad Jr. said Durana had been under surveillance before the arrest.
“Ginatinguhaan naton nga hibaluon kon sin-o ang iya nga supplier sang ilegal nga droga,” Jomuad said.
While he admitted that he had used drugs before, Durana denied that selling them.
He added that the police “planted” the shabu recovered from him during the operation.
Durana was detained at the Ivisan municipal police station lockup facility.
He was facing charges for violation of sections 5, 11 and 12 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
