ILOILO City – In Barangay Mangil, Januay, Iloilo, a man was stabbed dead.
He was identified as 47-year-old Jose Glen Vincent Barranco of Barangay Abangay, Janiuay.
According to police investigation, Barranco was sleeping on a waiting shed in Barangay Mangil when Leo Arca – who was believed to be inebriated – stabbed the victim on the chest using a bladed weapon.
Barranco was rushed to Janiauy District Hospital but was declared dead while being treated.
Responding police officers were able to arrest Arca. The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the municipal police station, facing charges./PN
