ILOILO City – An 18-year-old student from Barangay Sambag, Jaro district complained to the police that he was choked and punched.
Francis John Altriva identified his alleged attacker only as “Ariel.”
Ariel went to their house at 7 p.m. on May 26 and choked and boxed him on the left face, Altriva told the Jaro police station. He said he was clueless as to why Ariel would attack him.
“Gusto mo mga migo mo pamun-on ko (Do you want me to stab your friends)?” Altriva quoted Ariel as telling him.
Meanwhile a 62-year-old neighbor, Nistor Blance, challenged him to a fight, saying, “Guwa da, inaway ta,” the complainant further claimed.
Another neighbor, Jaypee Blance, also told him, “Isog ka gid Ming haw (Are tough enough, Ming)?” said Altriva.
Altriva complained of pains on the neck and left face. Police referred him to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao. (March Gernine Aguacito, Intern/PN)
