ILOILO City – A “jealous” Sangguniang Kabataan councilor punched a man in Barangay West Timawa, Molo district, a police report showed.
Joven Iwag, a 22-year-old construction worker, was arrested and detained at the Molo police station.
The 25-year-old Patrick Ardisani of Barangay North Fundidor, Molo accused Iwag of attacking him at around 1 a.m. on Thursday.
Iwag got angry when he found Ardisani and a 26-year-old woman sleeping in the same room in their boardinghouse, stated the police report.
From what the police have gathered, Iwag had feelings for the woman.
