ILOILO – Around P476,000 worth of illegal drugs were confiscated from a 26-year-old jobless man in a buy-bust operation on December 17 in Barangay Alibunan, Calinog, Iloilo.
Alias “Koykoy” was apprehended by joint operatives of the Calinog Municipal Police Station (MPS) and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit Team 2 at around 5:51 p.m.
Approximately 70 grams of suspected shabu were seized from his possession, alongside several non-drug-related items.
The suspect was detained at Calinog MPS. He will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Police said Koykoy was previously arrested in February 2016 for the same offense and released from jail in 2019./PN
