Kabankalan dean, doctors succumb to COVID-19

BACOLOD City – A university dean and two doctors infected with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental passed away, the city information officer reported on Tuesday.

They were Dr. Lorina Baylon Crobes, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences of Central Philippine State University (CPSU), Dr. Gladys Patindol of the Kabankalan District Hospital and Dr. John Vic Caagbay of the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital, according to Jake Gonzales, public information officer.

The CPSU main campus in Barangay Camingawan will be closed for disinfection until Nov. 15.

Meanwhile, during the recent meeting of the City Development Council, Mayor Pedro Zayco Jr. called on barangay captains to help the city boost the vaccination campaign.

Vaccines will be brought to the villages, according to Zayco./PN
