BACOLOD City – The No. 5 most wanted person in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental was arrested in Barangay Baboy, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental, a police report showed.
The 50-year-old rape suspect Cristituto Lopez of Barangay Bantayan, Kabankalan City was caught around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, police said.
Joint officers from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Bacolod City and police stations of the cities of Kabankalan and Bayawan staged the apprehension.
The officers nabbed Lopez on the strength of an arrest warrant issued on June 23, 2017.
Lopez was detained at the Kabankalan City police station lockup facility.
No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
