AFTER a two-month stay at a private beach, Kris Aquino revealed that she will undergo preventive isolation for six months and will now be based at her family’s compound in Tarlac.

On her Instagram page on Monday, August 11, Aquino said she decided to go under preventive isolation while thanking the owners of the beach property she stayed at for “almost two months.”

“I came to a decision — I have another [six to eight hour-] infusion session in [six] days, it’s one of the strongest autoimmune immunosuppressants together with my [two] other, [one] taken daily, and [one] given via injection will totally wipe out my immunity… I will be in preventive isolation for [six] months,” she said.

“I’ll live in our compound in Tarlac; my Cojuangco cousins and I fondly call it Alto,” she continued.

The multimedia personality opened up about her current health condition and explained that her decision to go on a low profile on social media was her own.

“On purpose matagal akong hindi nag upload. I have to admit if I told you what was happening, some of you may stop praying because my autoimmune diseases were increasing in number [and] my life-threatening ailments needed me to make a brave choice. Trust me, it’s difficult to accept every night when I sleep that there may be no tomorrow for me,” she said.

In her post, Aquino also shared how her sons Josh and Bimb are doing, saying her eldest son is currently living with her “super loving cousin,” although she didn’t disclose whose relative she was referring to.

“Where is kuya? Since the deaths of his Lola Cory, Lola P, and Tito Noy, seeing me frail, weak, often attached to my IV drip, kuya is traumatized, visibly shaking, repeating ‘Mama get well, I love you.’ For now, he’s living with my genuinely super loving cousin,” she said.

“Bimb, now 18, has sacrificed much to take care of me. He is heaven’s gift, my optimistic adult who reminds me I should never surrender. After a few more scheduled tests [and] treatments, and my recuperation – Bimb [and] I are ready to reveal all & show you everything for the first time,” she continued.

Aquino’s health update earned the support of her followers in the comments, including Aga Muhlach, Melai Cantiveros, broadcast journalist Arnold Clavio, and her impersonator Krissy Achino.

The Queen of All Media’s health update came weeks after she revealed that she is currently diagnosed with 11 autoimmune diseases, although she has yet to share more details of her recent diagnosis.

She also made headlines last July after it was revealed that she had been gaining weight, marking her heaviest at 112 pounds so far. (Hannah Mallorca © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
