ILOILO City – Two brothers were accused of attacking a couple in Barangay Magsaysay, La Paz district, a police report showed.
Zorayda Matencio, 47, and husband Lorenzo sustained wounds. They were referred to the West Visayas State University Medical Center for treatment.
The Matencio couple identified their attackers as brothers Richard and Ricky Anojado, 24 and 29 years old, respectively.
They were walking toward their water pipeline to switch off their connection when the brothers told them, “Testingi niyo lang agi kay makatilaw kamo,” the couple told the police.
Richard punched Zorayda on the mouth while Ricky struck her on the chest, the police report stated. The Anojado brothers then charged at Lorenzo.
According to the couple, the suspects were armed with a barbecue stick and two pieces of wood, police said.
