ILOILO City – A laborer was stabbed in Barangay Veterans Village, a police report showed.
Resident Roen Ortega sustained a minor injury on the left wrist, the report added.
Police identified the suspect as resident Randy Cabaluna.
According to the police, Ortega went to Cabaluna to pay his debt around 9:10 p.m. on July 17.
But an altercation ensued between them that prompted Cabaluna to stab Ortega using a sharp object, police said.
It was not immediately established what caused the altercation.
Cabaluna was detained in the custodial facility of the Iloilo City Police Station 1./PN
