ILOILO City – A caregiver working in Ledesco Village, La Paz district was punched and stabbed by a house boy, a police report showed.
Caregiver Danny Deza, 24, of Barangay Dela Peña, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo and house boy Garry Villanueva, 28, of Barangay Luca, Ajuy town were both working for the Alvarez family.
Deza sustained wounds on the lips and stab wounds on the left chest, left arm and left knee. He was taken to the West Visayas State University Medical Center.
Villanueva was arrested and detained at La Paz police station. Police seized from the suspect an 11-inch-long pair of scissors.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. on June 8 in the Alvarez residence, the house security guard told the police.
Investigation showed Deza was using his cellphone when Villanueva confronted him and said, “Tulog na da Noy si Lolo ta, basi kon maano kag madalahig ako kag ako naman maakigan!”
Deza answered back, “Bay-i lang ako di bala kay si Lolo ginatan-aw-tan-aw ko man.” That was when Villanueva punched Deza, dragged him to the kitchen and stabbed him, the police report showed./PN
