ILOILO City – A former police officer and his friend are subjects of a police manhunt. They have been tagged as suspects in the shooting of a man in Barangay Nagsulang, Lemery, Iloilo.

The two are Arturo Lozada, a 58-year-old retired policeman, and Suprino Bachoco, 35. Both are residents of Barangay Nagsulang.

According to Inspector Gregg Anthony Salbang, Lemery police chief, the shooting happened around 10 p.m. on Monday. The 26-year-old Dante Domingo was taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center for a gunshot wound on the head.

There was a commotion prior to the shooting. Domingo and brother Jay-R, 24, complained to Lozada that someone pelted their house with stones.

Salbang said there could be more to the incident such as a land dispute.

“When we reached the crime scene the suspects had already left,” said Salbang./PN
