ILOILO — Authorities seized approximately P408,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested a high value individual during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Agboy Sur, Leon, Iloilo.
The Station Drug Enforcement Team of the Leon Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s (IPPO) Drug Enforcement Unit Team 1, apprehended the suspect identified by the alias “Jerry,” 44, married, and a resident of the town, at around 8:40 a.m. on September 25
Recovered from the suspect who worked as a delivery boy were nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing alleged shabu, including the buy-bust item, weighing 60 grams, buy-bust money, and non-drug-related items.
The suspect was detained at the Leon MPS. He will be charged for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The Police Regional Office 6, meanwhile, continue to urge the public to report any suspicious drug-related activities and other crimes to their nearest police station to assist in the region’s ongoing anti-narcotics campaign./PN
