ILOILO City – A property owner from La Paz district reported to the police that a lessee has threatened him.

Ricardo Gurrea Jr. of No. 57 Rizal Street claimed that Nelson Lopez called him at around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday to say, “Gago ka, balosan ta ikaw. Andaman mo lang. Ngaa ginsira mo ang shop ko?” a police report showed.

The police report identified Lopez as an engineer living in Alta Tierra Village in Jaro.

Apparently Lopez was leasing a property Gurrea owned.

Gurrea said he told Lopez, “Gin-avisohan ta man ka kon indi ka maka-settle sang imo arrears…to vacate my property since the contract of lease already expired on March 30, 2017,” the report stated.

According to Gurrea, he sent Lopez demand letters several times but the latter has not responded.

Lopez cannot be reached for comment as of this writing./PN
