BACOLOD City – Shabu worth some P235,000 was seized from live-in partners in AbadaEscay, Barangay Vista Alegre, a police report showed.

Inspector Adrian James Albaytar, head of the Bacolod City Police Office’s City Drug Enforcement Unit, identified the couple as the 28-year-old Chargot“Kingking” de Asis and Regine“Tabor” Tabara.

De Asis and Tabara were caught after they sold shabu to an undercover officer for P1,000 around 4 p.m. on Friday, police said.

Recovered from their possession were six sachets of shabu, added the police.

According to Albaytar, de Asis is a drug courier working for a Muslim who allegedly brings shabu to the city.

De Asis and Tabara were detained at the Police Station 7 lockup facility and facing charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
