BACOLOD City – She and her daughter both landed in a hospital room after being hacked in Barangay Pacol, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
The 58-year-old Magdalena Anuales and 35-year-old daughter Mariane sustained hack wounds after the 35-year-old Jeanie Panta attacked them with a 24-inch bolo, police said.
The Anualeses and Panta were all residents of the village.
It was around 8 a.m. on Monday when the incident happened. The Anualeses were standing beside an irrigation canal when Panta confronted and hacked them, police said.
Mariane was rushed to the Bago City District Hospital for treatment. She was discharged on the same day.
Magdalena, on the other hand, was confined at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City where she was currently under treatment.
Panta was arrested and detained at the Bago City police station lockup facility./PN
