ILOILO – Approximately 104 grams of suspected shabu worth around P707,200 were confiscated in a buy-bust operation around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8, in Barangay Balanti-an, Balasan town.
Joint operatives of the Balasan Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6 also arrested the 36-year-old alias “Madam”, tagged as high-value drug suspect, and his minor son. They were residents of the municipality of Estancia.
Also recovered were P8,500 in buy-bust money and non-drug-related items.
Authorities said the boy was believed to be his mother’s drug runner.
As of this writing, Madam and her son were under the custody of the Balasan MPS for proper disposition./PN
