BACOLOD City – He was just trying to pacify a drunken man in Barangay Dahile, Mabinay, Negros Oriental but he got killed, police said.
The 27-year-old Benjam Aragon sustained hack and stab wounds on the different parts of the body. He was brought to the Mabinay Community Hospital where the attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
According to the police, Aragon was trying to calm down resident Oloy Kadusale who was causing alarm in the village around 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 24.
This angered Kadusale. He drew his bolo and hacked Aragon repeatedly.
Kadusale’s sons – Dedoy and Galy – also attacked Aragon, police said. Galy stabbed Aragon on the chest.
It was not clear, however, if Kadusale’s sons were also drunk.
Officers from Mabinay police station have yet to locate the Kadusales, who fled after the incident./PN
