ANTIQUE – A man drowned on Good Friday, March 29, in the sea waters of Barangay Iba, Anini-y.
Nestor Rafiñan was a 43-year-old resident of Barangay Nasuli A, Tobias Fornier, Antique.
In an interview with Captain Joey Castillon, officer-in-charge of the Anini-y police, the drowning victim was believed to be under the influence of alcohol when he went out for a swim past 3:50 p.m. with friends.
It was too late for Rafiñan’s companions to notice his disappearance.
He was immediately brought to the President Diosdado Macapagal District Hospital in Tobias Fornier town, where the victim was declared dead upon arrival.
Castillon advises the public to slow down drinking alcoholic beverages to avoid similar incidents./PN
