ILOILO – Three individuals were apprehended by the police during a crackdown on an illegal gambling operation, with one found in possession of an unlicensed firearm in Barangay Buga, Leon on Good Friday, March 29.
The arrested suspects were identified as Jerry Cabingan, 31; Jovanie Cabingan, 28, both residents of the aforementioned barangay; and Roger Aligor, 51, from Barangay Quinaspan, Alimodian, Iloilo.
According to Captain John Predic Padilla, officer-in-charge of the Leon police, while there were numerous gambling participants, only three were apprehended after the swift escape of others.
Padilla further stated that upon the arrest of the suspects, Aligor was found in possession of a caliber 38 unlicensed firearm along with six rounds of ammunition./PN
