ILOILO City – An old woman landed in a hospital after her husband hacked her in Barangay Odiongan, San Dionisio, Iloilo, a police report showed.
The 69-year-old Elvira Occillo was brought to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district for treatment.
She sustained hack wounds on the head, body and hands, the report stated.
According to the police, Occillo’s 53-year-old husband Reybelito attacked her while they were having an altercation around 6 p.m. on Saturday.
It was not immediately clear what triggered the argument.
Reybelito was arrested. He was detained in the lockup facility of the San Dionisio police station./PN
